I'm training as a fuel hauler currently and I see we have to get carded. How does it work if I ever have to move to a new state? Does my training mean nothing in a new state since I have to get in with a trainer to get carded? Has anyone ever moved states and worked as a fuel hauler in each of those states?

    Thanks for your help guys.

New terminal you get to go thru their training regime . No matter where you came from.

someplaces will let another driver from your company watch you load a few loads with 2 trucks some not….

States have nothing to do with you getting "carded in", the terminals where you load the fuel oversees that.

So if I get carded at a marathon in illinois and there is marathon in Louisiana could I still use the same card?

Even if you did use the same card...your authorization to load at that facility wouldn't be on it.

Yes, I have. Back around 2002.

Citgo Albany NY didn't care that I was already carded at Citgo Detroit and Citgo Toledo. I had to go through the carding process in Albany.

When you quit your job to move to Louisiana, you'll probably have to turn in your loading cards.

No big deal, you've been through carding once before.

NO!! Each individual terminal will have to 'card you in". Understand this, each terminal probably is entirely different and you will have to learn and prove that you are capable at each terminal procedure, rules and system.
