By purchasing fuel so infrequently ($500-$1000/week), the yearly membership for NASTC is a bit steep ($250.00/year). The card is $3.75/mo. There's no transaction fees for in network stops. TA/Petro charges cost-plus, so it fluctuates.
Right now for Monday, September 16, the price at Rogers will be $3.9369/gallon on the QPN/NASTC program.

looking at where i'm sitting right now. be better off using a credit card across the street. 2 locals are 60 cents cheaper then ta.
depending on your credit limit though. you'd want a way to pay the balance so it's available for the next purchase.
course, you'd lose the points and showers. -
Question for those other places is bad fuel. I just don't want to get a bad batch at all. I like to fill up at places I can trust if you know what I mean.

At $500 to $1000 a week I could pay that $250 yearly fee off in about 2 months using TA's and Petro's Plus have your showers and rewards card. With the fleet one through NASTC you can't worry about what they are showing for the cash price. Also you will normally have bigger discounts when fuel is going down... Many times stations will keep the prices high for a while with the Nastc plan it will go down immediately. I have discounts of $80 and $90 under cash price on a single fill-up. I used to pay cash at the cheapest Mom & Pop stations Always needing to get cash or not having a shower credit when I got to where I was going. I haven't found a better program out there. Not saying there isn't one but I haven't found it.

Well there price here at the TA has always been around 3.89-4.10 a gallon It doest change much on the sign so does that mean the price I'd get from NASTC will be much lower? Wish you could see fuel prices without being a member.
quick calculation I'd only save maybe 700 a year doing this plus then minus membership. It ain't worth it in my mind. -
What's the cash price at the place across the street (and where is it) and what TA is it that you're comparing it to. My discount is not flat rate. It depends on the stop itself. I've had almost 60c at the TAs in New Jersey at times. Just depends.

there's a bp and shell selling for 3.31 while ta is selling for 3.91.
i stopped at a ts in cali one time. the local was 3.50 and i was thinking DANG. i'll get fuel pretty cheap at the j. WRONG. 4.35.
when i first came back out i noticed even smaller towns were cheaper. but the diference was a dime to a quarter back then. now it seems the spread is over 2 quarters. between truckstops and locals.
trucks pay on average of 4.00 PLUS ifta. while the locals pay on average of 3.30 NO IFTA.
at 200 gallons. that's $140 difference. times 4 fills per week. $600. if you ran 50 weeks a year. $30,000. roughly speaking. -
You still won't name the TA so I can tell you what my price would be.

You do also realize that IFTA taxes are included in the fuel purchased, right (except Oregon, which you need a permit # to get the tax-free price since Oregon isn't a member of IFTA)? And that local stop has to be charging you state fuel tax as well (unless, of course, it's Oregon). -
Got a call from Schnider National asking me if I would like to save money on fuel precis's at the pump.I said How Much can I save Mr. Smithers?
He said ohh ohh you can save up to .15 cents per gallon if you buy it at the TA . So after we talked a bout discounts
and such I went by a TA in Ok
TA Sayre #152 and a their price was $3.87/Gal Cash..
and across the HWY from TA was a Shell Station Selling Fuel For $ 3.78 /Gal. Cash . so i figured it must be nice to find people that you can sell to ,by jacking up your price higher than your competitors by .09 cents and call that chicken dodah of a formula to calculate fuel discounts..
If you want fuel discounts Lease your truck to fedex or some quality carriers Like that Not some greedy self indulging wazoo's that have a hole in their tummy's to generate more cash flow to compensate for the cheap freight that they R hauling on some poor soles back that can't figure out how to find a real discount .10/10/ Hello Come in -
I don't care to run more than air miles and like to be home every day, no thanks I like my ma and pa company. I was just seeing and wondering if there were any fuel options out there that were worth it. For power only loads doing air mile work I have it pretty made where I'm at. I don't work for dirt but the going rate isn't too bad around here.
