99% of the time mayby. But, if you get rot gut fuel somewhere ,sometime. You will be glad you carry filters with you and know how to change them. This could be old school advice?
yes it is but you have new school truck with 3 filters. 1 see threw and 2 small drop in filters on the block. plus you have to pressurize the system.
Many moons ago trailers didn't have park brakes, just service pots. Had to "charge" the trailer air system then "dynamite" it (pull the red button out again). This put a full service brake application on the trailer brakes. Now you could back under with less risk of it rolling away on you.
I carry a gallon of Diesel Service mixed 50% with diesel. Usually for winter emergencies but I have used it to fill filters when needed road side. How ever. I would not do it on the road side. Find a safe parking spot in case you need to work and cuss at your truck for more than 10 minutes or so. Good luck.
Easy, Just change the primary filter all you need to do is fill the new filter with auto trans fluid, screw it on and go. Dump the old one out in the weeds and look to see how much water is in it.
Never, never, never, never Fill your new filter with the fuel from a dirty used filter Unless your want the very real, substantial risk of destroying those mega $$$ 35,000 psi volvo injectors. Your engine HAS a PRIMING pump, locate it and use it to fill the filters. On a old motor, yes. On a DPF motor, HELL NO !!
