Fuel filter housing on Century with ISX pre EGR

    Hello, do you guys have an idea why on my Century with Pre EGR ISX has a fuel filter housing that has only empty can for a fuel filter. So basically now I have only Davco water separator as a fuel filter. Why is like that, can I add a normal fuel filter?

    Cummins had an issue when they introduced the ISX 570. Fuel pump had trouble drawing fuel from tank on start up. They figured it out and the fix was to add electric priming pump. You can try removing cap and adding filter (FF2200). I have not tried it. Maybe the Davco will hold enough prime to start truck. Report back with your findings.
