Being busy has nothing to do with it...... Someday a middle manager type will make his career on saving the company a few cents a gallon by screwing the drivers....
Sounds like you've already sold out the new hires...... Who next , answer the senior guys.

I may be switching companies soon.
I'm sick of these automatics -
I'm fearing someday we'll be seeing those JB Hunt DCS tractors pulling around tri axle gas trailers. They seem to be getting into everything else around here.

Overtime is still around and yes there still 4/10s and yes you can still work up to 70hrs idk where gas hauler is hearing this no OT stuff from its the law in CA. But hey don't believe me that's fine I like it here and will stay if it goes south not the end of the world still the chemical companies that pays the same.

Yep I get plenty of OT at a cc. And if sentinel drivers make 1500wk gross I don't feel like I'm getting such a bad deal where I'm at. With the quality of life issues like living 5 minutes from my truck vs. 1.5 hours from LAT I don't think it's worth it. But maybe someday. I could always live out on the street in an RV

The whole south new it as slave-a-stop. We ran Ryder lease tractors with 290 comalongs. They didn't do too bad at 72mph pegged out. The company and the state troops tried to slow us down but at 10¢ a mile you had to go. My setup was great because I was a casual @ 12¢ with no benefits. But I didn't need them because I was active duty Navy and every Fri-Sun I was off. That was back in the time where the whole east coast Navy was on 4 day 10 hour days. So I leave on Fri and Back on Sun morning with plenty of sleep to go to work Monday morning. That's where I got my experience for OTR trucking since we ran 7 southern states. Not until later did I get to get up into the Midwest states with a flatbed and another company. Good luck and stay gas, never go ploof.DrtyDiesel Thanks this.
