With the exception of the extreme heat and smoke during the summer, and the fact that LA/SF politics control the state, I miss living in Shasta County. If the State of Jefferson ever actually happens, I’ll gladly move back. North of Sacramento, CA is God’s Country.

Do fuel haulers in Redding generally load in Redding or do y’all load in Sac or the Bay?

We load diesel and bio out of our yard off of market st, but all gas we load out of Chico at kinder Morgan. We also go down to Sacramento to load kerosene, but I’m not yet carded down there. I have enough BOL’s from loading there with other guys last winter, but haven’t been able to make an appointment to get carded.

Hello TNSquire, I know this is an old thread, but I just wanted to find out if you’re still at the same location as you were when you wrote this post?

I’m curious to know how many loads a day are you averaging then, or now to be working 60 hours per week.
    Thank you

Yeah, still running same terminal, about 55 hours a week consistently.
Money still good, though I’ve been focused more on shorter stuff instead of longer due to personal needs.
I run 4-6 loads a day, all of them quick cross town stuff, 3 hours or less per turn, so I’m not sitting for extended periods without moving my legs.
It’s a medical necessity for me, as longer stuff forces me to stop and walk for a bit before continuing.
We’ve hired a slew of drivers over the past few months, as we somehow scored a pile of work that keeps us really busy, even now.
I’ve been hearing of other carriers cutting shifts to 8-9 hours, weeks to 40-45, yet we’re flying like fat kids after the ice cream truck on a hot afternoon.
Those numbers quoted have changed slightly, as new hires get 1200 guarantee, no weekend bonus except percentage of load , still get the over 40 stipend, though there’s usually an extra hundy for picking up that 6th day when it’s offered.

    Rodeorowdy and plant Thank this.

We are slow as can be right now. All drivers asked for a raise and got rejected.

Slowest week I've had thus far was 45 hours after Christmas. Otherwise still been above 52 hours but I run pretty hard, even into snow storms lol.
