Im beginning my mid-life crisis and considering moving somewhere that my CDL w/ Haz-Mat X will make me enough money to rent a small apartment. I dont need to worry about savings or house payments etc, I just need to "get by" for a year or two. I dont want a full time job, not sure if things are as demanding there as they are here, nobody wants a part time fuel hauler in Arizona, they all want a 60 hr/ week commitment. I hope Hawaii isnt like that.
I have looked into Australia and Brazil but it could be a year to get legal anywhere but the U.S. So what better place to have an extended work vacation than Hawaii?
Has anyone here ever trucked in Hawaii? Anyone have any clue what I may be getting into?

It's been many years ago when I was there but when I was it was who you knew to get the job. I would go over there first to see before you made any big plans because I think you'll have a very hard time.

Yeah, I just saw some ads on craigslist. I thought they may just be EEOC requirements. I guess it wouldnt hurt to call and ask, I was hoping for some inside info like who to work for and who to stay away from.
Thanks. -
most of the ads on craigslist mentioned a hawaiin license
