If that’s on the regular, then more power to you man, get it while the getting is good. Last week I hauled sail boat fuel to 3 different dc’s using the same trailer. That was a good paying load

While I like the distance the daily rate to the truck is not great. With our fleet we look for at least 2000 a day. Will do shorter ones for 1500 if nothing else is around. Again I know only 6 miles but reefer costs and opportunity cost.

See. There you go folks. Since forever the benchmark has been $1,000 day.

    Now, it's $2,000.

    Word.

$2,000 or might as well go drive for a mega.

I never said that. I said that is what we aim for. Problem is by taking 1000 you may miss on something else that pays higher. Again will depend on your market. That is 9 hours of reefer at -10 so you need to factor that in as well. Plus hos etc. you are also crossing over 2 days so may turn into 500 a day.

Bout what it is in PA.

I didn't think the rates would stay up this long the way they did. Really haven't dropped since the beginning of summer. Still running the same lanes for the same rates. When the rates drop off to pre covid rates (before they really plummeted) will still make out fine running around local. Was getting 700 running 170 miles for the longest time and bringing a load back up this way a few times a week on both trucks

    Even with higher fuel costs
