These guys need to FOCUS on their Surroundings. Look at what everyone else is doing. Instead they are all up inside their own head. There is not much in there.

I'm betting that driver waiting at the driveway just wants to get in and get fuel at the first available pump. He's there to put on fuel and then, hopefully, pull up or park. I personally would do the same thing as opposed to picking any line...but I'm not going to block access.

If you are pulling up to fuel, and all the lanes are full, get behind the flatbed/tanker/cattle truck.
If they are all vans then all bets are off. Just pick one that has hoses in the tanks and hope for the best.austinmike, TripleSix, Eldiablo and 5 others Thank this. -

Simple answer.
It really pisses you off to go ahead and pick a lane and stop. 20 minutes later you're still sitting there, another lane opens up, you can't back up and a truck that just arrived pulls in directly and begins to fuel. I can't tell you how many times that has happened.
With all these boneheaded truckers blocking fuel islands truckers are getting smart and just waiting for the next fuel location to open up. If all trucks fueled and got the hell out of the way quickly there would be no need for this.Speed_Drums, Geekonthestreet, austinmike and 3 others Thank this. -
What's funny is when they are behind the truck fueling, but they just leave their truck and go grocery shopping. Lol
Theres usually room to slide in front of them when the fueling truck leaves. I've done that a few times.
They always come back out and just stand there looking at you, trying to remember if it's the same guy or not.spindrift, TheLoadOut, TripleSix and 4 others Thank this. -
The one that annoys me most is when, instead of waiting to get to the fuel island, they get out, leave their truck sitting in line and go into the store. Too many times I'll pull into a full island and there sits a truck blocking the entrance to an open fuel island!
And, I run reefer. If I have to get reefer fuel I'll look for a box truck, bobtail or similar short vehicle to pull in behind. That way when he pulls up from the fuel island I'll usually have enough room to pull up and fill my reefer. If no such vehicles are ahead of me to get behind, I'll look for another reefer. Then get out and ask him to pull up far enough so I can get reefer fuel, if he can. Other reefer drivers understand, so they'll usually help out. Same as I would for a reefer truck behind me.Vic Firth, Pamela1990, Kyle G. and 1 other person Thank this. -
