Fuel prices and knowing ur truck

    The best way to save fuel is to drive about 63mph in an UNneutered truck. Are you willing to do that? The best way to save money on fuel is to know which states you'll be running through and how high the taxes are in each. For example: I try never to buy fuel in IL or IN. You still pay IFTA but you dont pay the extremely high added state tax. Out east your screwed, everywhere is high priced. Love's seems to be slightly cheaper (retail) than F'n J. TA/Petro think their fuel is distilled from the souls of aborted fetuses.... Mom & Pop stores usually sell for about the price you'll pay with the company discount and that's where all the farmers go....

    Many variables to fuel COST, just like for fuel mileage.

    Don't nickel and dime yourself for fuel. Fill your tanks when you find good fuel prices. If you're only trying to buy enough fuel to finish a load you will find in the end you usually pay more.

    Don't run payday to payday. That's the short game. To be successful you need to play the long game.
