Np, i guessed it was a typo, but wasnt 100 % sure

Anyway, anyone else got any thoughts? Dont like the pete tank mount setup, freightliners look rock solid though.

What don't you like about the pete tank mount ?...
1 of the Peterbilt groups that I'am part of a member was complaining that he had a strap break ..and when it was done and over with it cost his insurance company about 11k.. think his tanks are 150 gallon tanks .. so he doubled up on the mounting brackets... another member claimed he retro fitted his Pete with the Freightliner mounts & straps because they better built like you mentioned

Its entirely underslung and the t bolts are somewhat undersized, so they tend to break thats actually what i like about the kenworth setup, the brackets actually support the weight from underneath.

The freightliner setup has a massive bolt and somewhat overbuilt strap, and the brackets support from the side and partially cradle the tank

Okay, getting ready to fully tear down the fuel lines and replace all

I would LIKE TO get stainless braided line with the screw in fittings so i can cut to length myself here and carry some extra

Anyone have any recomendations on specific hose and fittings?

Look on Amazon... just remember you get what you pay for...
What did you end up doing for your straps and mounting brackets ?

Went with 2x each side, stock peices from the arrow truck parts for now. (Mfgr says 2 is good to 135 gallon tanks, so probably rated at 500 lb a peice (135×7.1 ÷ 2 = 479))

Dads shop is too far behind to be able to get it done soon enough. But have it drawn up and can probably do that in spring or fall

Gotcha... I won't get home until Saturday but I'll try to remember to look and see what company I got my S/S braided fuel lines from and let you know if you haven't done anything yet

    skallagrime Thanks this.
