My Prostar only pulls & returns from and to one tank. There is a electric transfer pump that transfers fuel from the passenger side. Have the driver follow the fuel line and he will see the pump around where the transmission is. HeavyD is quite knowledgeable when it comes to internationals, ask for his help!!!

Yep, I'm here. Your truck probably does have the electric transfer pump. The passenger side tank is only a storage tank and the engine draws and returns only to the drivers side tank. Is the passenger side the one staying full all the time?

    jameson1985 Thanks this.

Sorry, I do not have access to prices. The pump is normally located either on the left frame rail by the tank or top of the bell housing behind the engine. If your truck has skirts it isn't the easiest job. It is just a small electric pump, not much to it. It is the access that makes it hard to get to. Can you see it?

I had the same problem on my 2011 Freightliner Cascadia it the was my BUNK HEATER UNIT that was causing the problem. The BUNK HEATER FUEL LINE was CORRODING when turned off the fuel that was in the line would return to the tanks bringing with it BACK RUBBER or BUNK HEATER FUEL LINE DEBRIS. CLOGGING UP the FUEL TRANSFER LINE.

Fuel sender is the electrical thing on the tank that sends the fuel level signal to the dash. If it always read full the fuel sender should be broken, this is a common part to fail. The transfer pump reads the level from a fuel sender in each tank and pumps fuel from the left to the right side tank as needed to maintain a balance.
