Fuel theft happening at these locations, post if you know of others?

Back in the day, under the big red ball, there would be as many people on the radio selling fuel as there were selling ###.

 

Lethal would be much better though, just saying

 

I happen to know of a tractor that had a high volume electric pump mounted in the passenger side step tool box. There was 20’ of 1” hose connected to it. The driver of said truck supposedly would steal fuel from fuel stops that were closed overnight. This was before cameras were so prevalent. I personally would not have put it past the owner to have stolen fuel from parked trucks.

After I discovered the driver had this equipment, I made it a point to NEVER be in proximity to him.

 

The most you can really do is park with low fuel. Locking caps just means you'll buying a new tank too. Locking caps just keeps honest people honest

 

I deliver fuel to gas stations and truck stops. Almost none of their underground tanks are locked. Most of them aren’t open 24 hrs a day. Surprised someone doesn’t park over them with a straight truck with barrels inside and just empty them out.

 

Someone tried to balance both back when people were balking over $3.00 a gallon for gasoline!!! LOL
