How many times did you roll up to the pumps when you loaded and the kid fueling you ask you if they would bite ??
I used to always tell them yeah the bit like a vicious dog with rabies and then watch them hug the side of the truck while the fueled my tanks

That is nothing new at that truck stop. I can remember parking there once when I still drove for Swift. Must have been ten years ago now. The guy parked beside me was freaking out because one of his tanks was almost empty when he woke up. I still had one of those early cheesy dash cameras that looped over itself every three hours. Couldn't help the guy.

So you take a short extension cord and run it from your inverter to your slide bar/back of truck up high and clip a 120v motion sensor home/yard light up there, also plug something that makes a loud noise in like a small radio turned all the way up. Bam, redneck alarm system that works.

My uncle did this at his hunting cabin. He had some motion lights strung up in the trees and he ran light in one socket and one of those light socket plugs in the other hooked up to a radio. If you got near the cabin the lights and radio came on. Obviously the 'perimeter alarm' only worked if he was there because the radio would wake him up more than it would fool anyone but it is actually a good idea IMO.

I traded private messages with him on Feb. 3. Now, if you click on his profile it reads "member limits who may view full profile." I guess he either locked down his profile into some kind of private mode, or left the forum altogether. I miss his pithy postings.

Seems like a lot of work. Much easier things for a thief to steal. Not the sharpest tools in the shed, I’m guessing.

I never had them ask that. I think there were enough hands stopping at our regular stops and they had witnessed many showers coming out of the trailers

What.... Man steal in MS, apt to be tracked down and if shots fired at recoverer; even if propane, heavier and more accurate fire will be returned. Felt threatened by them carelessly shooting around propane, as redneck self defense.

Seems like just the light would probably be enough.
