Fuel your truck while running

Is one enough or do you want me to post a 20 or 30 or more examples for you to pick apart, because I know your just going to try and pick it apart anyway.
Like I said to you & others before. If your DEAD set on gambling with your life, go ahead just don't take me or others with you when it happens. You know your supposed to not leave your car running or use the cell phone while your at the Gas pumps, but you do, so your gambling.

Gee, did myth-busters really do "Everything" they could?
Or just what fit in the time frame to make the show?

Snoopes says it's a myth so it must be true, gee a couple working at their kitchen table "must" be right, right They don't lie or hide truths do they.

I got my training from the company I work for now & at Trimac when I worked there 20+ years ago, (static electricity was the worry then) IE: loading & unloading the fuel tanker with lights/ AM FM radio/cb OFF. It didn't matter if it gas or diesel same rules apply & still do.
And I saw videos there & at Shell & Esso(Exxon) and a few other places that I had to do orientation at, so I can't get them on here, and gee its not on the WWW so it can't be true! Were they all about cell phones, no.

But some were, others were about static electricity. And a Cell phone can cause that, a pen falling out of your shirt pocket can cause static. I sure don't want to be the one to be around when you loose your gamble.

I am an experienced Driver trying to just that. Turn car off & don't use your cell phone at the fuel pumps.

Mythbusters went beyond what any normal person would do, includind filling a box with open containers full of vapors, and dialed the cell phone, you know them they arent happy unless they can blow something up, they took extreme measures.

I didnt see any phone in that video...

Crap I fueled today with my pen in hand, I know, very dangerous, but luckily I lived through it..

 

Lord help us..... this has got to be one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever seen. Whoever taught you this needs their butt kicked clear up to their ears because they gonna get you bad hurt (or worse) someday.

There is a lot of controversy surrounding this video (some reports saying he used a lighter) but according to the South African Flmaeproof association, the guy (Lorry) dropped a cell phone into the tank causing the explosion. If that is true, it would be the first documented case of a cell phone fire. But not in the United States.

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know Americian gas wasn't flammable. Who the hell cares where it happened ...it happened!

If you look real close you will see a light just before it explodes, my cell phone has a light on the end of it that lights up when it ringing in-case I can't hear the ring. many others do also.

On EDIT: I just went to the web site you posted and here is what is posted there (light on cell phone). Don't know what the guys name is but the trucks are called (Lorry's).

So make sure to use explosion protected equipment in a hazardous area.

 

So... how long after fueling do I have to wait before I start my truck/car?
Have you ever seen a starter motor run in the dark?
What about the starter solenoid?
What about the guy that drives next to me while I am fueling?
How about the guy that starts his car right next to me when I am still fueling?
What about when lightning strikes 2 towns over and comes throught the ground?
Its a wonder to me you would even drive onto a fuel island!
I know, I know, you have probably been shown lots of movies some true some made up(reinacted). They all show the worst possible thing that "could" happen. Some things have a very remote chance of happining.
I have heard of laptop batteries blowing up but I am typing on 1 now with no worries. How about you?

I am referring to leaving your car running as you fuel thats what startted all this. Yes static can start a fire. Does that make you fell better. The chances are 1 in billions. There are far more dangerous things that you dont need to do but yet you do them everyday. I think the fact someone would hit the E-stop cause another was on the phone while pumping is overreacting.
I dont understand your Jerry Springer remark but I've never watched him. Maybe thats your problem you watch it too much and believe it. Just cause you see it and someome put some subtitles to it does not make it true. I know its youtube it has to be real.

I have yet to hear a legit reason for not leaving your car run.
