Dr, it takes a while, usually when someone tried to keep pushing thru hoping it will clear up, just trying to start it a few times and limping it up to the dealer a few miles away shouldn't do any harm. Did they send you to Campbell Freightliner, they are pretty good but usually very busy so hopefully they get yo in and out without much delay. I would think a national chain that is Damiler/Freightliner service point certified should have been able to change the fuel filter properly the first time.

My question is this...if this same chain messed your truck up last time, why would you go back knowing something like this could happen again?
DrBigRig and cetanediesel Thank this. -
This is why I will not buy a new truck. Old style work just fine.
-
This is why I service my own. It's an easy job and saves big bucks.
DoneYourWay, volvodriver01 and DrBigRig Thank this. -
It may be too late but why cant your company send a driver to get your Walmart load?
DrBigRig Thanks this. -
brian991219 Yea I drove the truck 9 miles to the big Freightliner dealership in Swedesboro. They were 'doing me a favor' by getting my truck diagnostics started on friday. The truck is at Bridgeport Freightliner. The original service center was a Freightliner service point with the Freightliner sign in lights.
I do however like to get my full services done at places I go to regularly. This is going to change my service point routine.
drvrtech77 They made it good last time they made a mistake, I'm talking about the travel center chain. But I will be very careful about full services on the road. There are places I go to often. I don't particularly like midnight shift guys full of tatoos. Am I a bigot now or am I burnt and cautious.
pattyj I was hinting to my dispatcher on thursday to get someone else on the load. Then friday I blaintly told my dispatcher in the morning to give the load up but I think he was in disbelief or just hoping things would get fixed fast. I won't have to pay the $1000 late fee myself but I will do my best to take responsibility and get the fee covered for my contractor. We have no other drivers in the area with our Canadian company. I'm sure someone else in the area could have covered earlier. I honestly don't know if the load is still waiting for me or not. I think it capped. -
I sure hope it gets better for you.
DrBigRig Thanks this. -
Before tuesday comes along I will be preparing to update my official complaint with the original service point chain. These guys are at fault and they are going to pay for these repairs hell or high water. I had a decent month for miles, luckily, so it's a matter of getting back onto the road and getting this mess paid out by the party whose at fault and be more careful next time. The first day in the hotel was fine because I could use the reset but I really hope to get some good news on tuesday.

Well since I lived in Swedesboro for 35 years I know where you were. Lol
