We have a couple O/O centuries pulling for Prime, but we haven't issued them in years.

Three different docks in L.A. area, each tight as ....... One insanely tight alley dock on a street you could barely drive straight on, let alone back & get jack on trailer.

Gotta love those LA rush hours, too! :biggrin_2551:

What a way to start on own right outta the box. :biggrin_255:

Hate to be leaving this sweet CA weather, but leaving L.A.sure isn't going to break my heart!

    Onward to NH......

    PEACE :)

Well, we made the NH delivery on time, but not without issues.

About 150mi. out & plenty of time, ran into regen issues, check engine light, and various prob codes. Couple of regens, and issues persisted. Off to a Freightliner along route. Couldn't get us in till following day & no one able to take over load. So, we attempted & made delivery on time.

Dispatch had us drop trailer in anticipation of us being stuck at Freightliner next day. We attempted a fourth regen at TS before getting back to Freightliner, which ran twice as long as normal. All lights and codes have cleared, and power seems to be back to normal. Go freakin' figure. So........waiting on dispatch now.

    What a screwy day. :biggrin_25517:

Dispatched in morning on run to SLC. Picked up empty & wash out.

Able to drop trailer 10hrs early for loading. With any luck, may get us on road 4/5hrs sooner than original load appt. time.

    Crossed fingers this trip uneventful.

Early jump on SLC run was soon followed by yet more regen issues. Luckily, one last regen seemed to clear up all probs, finally. Several thousand miles in bag since, & purring like a kitten. :biggrin_25519:

Had ETA two days early for appt by time we made Nebraska, when dispatch requested us to stop in Cheyenne, WY to swap & rescue another load. Potatoes from ID going to NY. So...... right back I80 cross country same way we just came. Works for me!

02 stop was cool enough to unload their part a day early, even though he only had 15min left until quit time. Nice guy.

Not diggin' the 90 near NYC, but such is life. Gotta do what we gotta do. We're day early for them but closed for night. Hopefully get early unload when they open so we can make dust trails outta here.

Add NYC to my allergy list!:biggrin_25525:

Picked up next load in NJ to run to Ogden, UT.

NJ rush traffic was insane. Appears that folks there have absolutely no fear of big rigs at all. If your not assertive, you will not get anywhere. Luckily, got out of there without a new hood ornament. My allergy list is growing!

Made the 90 two days early, but with power loss issues the last 400mi. Made those last grades so much more enjoyable w/43,000#.:biggrin_25526:

So........ sitting at Freightliner Hospital in SLC waiting for Dr. Freightenstein to do his thing. Was close enough for next PM, and able to have some other minor things looked while their at it.

With any luck, be back on the road soon.

    Peace

we had a shipper try and load us with 56,000 pounds of lumber. Poor little Pete didn't like that, even just going to their scale in low gears. Ended up going all the way across i90 with 49,700 or so on the trailer. Fun.

When we got unloaded the trailer went for a back rub and a beer. Pretty sure it was relieved to have all that weight off it's back.

Visalia CA... after a WallyWorld concentrator load (LA to Colton.) Looks like Wil-Trans lost their minds and bought Jim Palmer. Can't see that being a happy marriage.

FINALLY got out of Salt Lake City Freightliner after 7 days. What should have taken a a day or two became a week. What comedy of errors.

Turns out we came in with a cylinder shut down & needed injectors replaced. Had regen problem looked at, dozer valve cleaned, a/c looked at, minor leak at filler cap & dipstick. Of course we had PM service done, too. That was about it, and it took them a whole week to do it. Incredibly frustrating experience. Almost changed my mailing address to there.:biggrin_25525:

Anyways, once free of Freightliner captivity, we ran a load from ID to PA. So good to be back rolling.

Next run NY to WA state. Let the cross country running resume.....
