Deja Vu all over. Back at Freightliner in SLC. :biggrin_2551::biggrin_25517:

Since leaving last week, truck has been running good. But, does not seem to be quite up to 100% of power it had before.

As we were going toward SLC anyway, and they did the work on it......having them recheck it & hook to dyno.

Got that feeling like I'm returning to jail or something. Hope they are more on the ball this time.

Seems like Freightliner finally got us back together, and surprisingly within 24hrs.(this time). Running great now.We did drop our WA load in SLC, since we couldn't be sure how long we would be tied up there, considering last time.Started back up with load to IN, then picked up a load in MI bound for CA.So far, so good. Nice to be back to full power & normal running. Think they finally got it right this time.Keeping my fingers & toes crossed, just in case. Little tougher to drive that way, but I'm not taking any chances. ;)

Been a busy month & half since I posted here last. We've been running hard to pay off those repair bills.

Lost track of the C to C runs we've done. Got stuck bouncing around the NE. We'd be relieved to get out... only to go right back. It IS were the freight is & we were both running against our clocks, so got to go where we got to go. But, Man........ I freakin' HATE the NE! The roads, the traffic, the drivers. Did I mention I hate the NE?:biggrin_25525:

Had a drive tire blow just after last post in CA. Widow was down & about had a coronary.

Had to replace steer tires due to bad wear. Found out at SpringMo service that king pins were devoid of grease, causing that much free play. Apparently, that must now be optional for PM servicing! :biggrin_25512:

Had to unload 12,000# of flowers, box by box by hand to pallets on dock. Boxes not palleted & loading ramp broken. Who'd a ever thunk flowers could kick your ###? FLOWERS! 6+ hours of total exhaustion. Just days later, saw a sticker on side of rig. "Only real men haul flowers". I now get the joke.

Wrong turn on a MA traffic circle that put me in an almost impossible residential situation. Couple other horrendous turn around situations. Remember......if it got in there, it WILL come out.

The truck wash from hell. And, glad to see it due to lack of ANY washes.

Ah......could go on & on now. Think I don't like it now?

    Not a chance!

    I LOVE this freakin' job!

    Peace Y'all

Were they the boxes of flowers that you have to be careful with, or you'll spill water all over the place?

    Those suck.

Luckily, no. But there was more than a 1000 boxes. Never thought I was ever going to get to the back wall of trailer! Wouldn't have been near as bad if we could have gotten pallets & pallet jack in trailer. Wound up being my fitness program for the week.

Running solo for past week. Co-driver taking 1/2 weeks off.

Mostly routine & uneventfull, but nice having the truck to myself for a bit. Finally not freezing all the time! The temp controls are all mine. MINE, I TELL YOU! ;)

Ran a bit in PA & NY. Then got lucky & got sent to AR. Stuck back in NJ. Did I say hate NJ? Well........ I'll keep saying it. I FREAKIN' HATE NJ!

There.... I feel better now. Now I can just get back to business. Gotta do what we gotta do. Gotta follow the freight.

Will unfortunately probably get stuck in NE on short runs due to hours left, but hey.... still got some left & can't reset for a bit. Such is life.

Will be nice to see co-driver back & get back to those cross country runs. Man, I just love those.

    PEACE
