    n3ss,
Can definately relate to that anticipation to get started. Been there. Won't be long now for you.

Have seen patience is definately needed out here. Shippers/Recievers can sure take awhile at times. Also, other issues just seem to pop up. Got to go with the flow.

Also, be prepared to throw all semblance of a regular schedule out the window. My entire first week wound up a total flip due to how loads worked out. I'm used to this, so all was good. May be kind of jolt for some till adjusted. Everything will be dependent on load, foremost.

Oh, & no APU or idling on truck I'm on. With temps being in teens, #### glad I brought a warm sleeping bag! :biggrin_2551:

    n3ss Thanks this.

Not a prime objective of PSD, but can see how critical managing HOS is to making or breaking things. Got basics of rules, however proper management of that time pretty confusing at this time.

Just an observation, not worried about that till TnT. But definately going to have a lot to learn.

box up what? cold weather stuff? honestly I'm going to have to buy some. We don't do cold down here in south carolina. I have a few light jackets and some gloves I use at a work, but thats about it. It *might* dip into the 20s or 30s overnight january-march...

I spent a week in the desert, in the 70's, followed by three days in the teens, then the 60's. Get used to temperature shifts.

    Box up....warm weather.... bring with.... relief.....please help.......:biggrin_25521:

You'll definately need cold weather gear. Could go anywhere in country when you go out. May be cold here, but gets much worse elsewhere. ( Wyoming, Dakotas, NE, NW.......anywhere.) Be prepared.

Sorry this is a little while after the post, but are you saying that you have two separate cards you have to carry with you? A regular drivers license and a separate CDL permit card? When I got my class A permit, it was merely a letter added in the endorsements area of my current class B CDL. When I got my class B, my original license was taken from me, and I was handed a brand spanking new all-in-one card. Everyone else I know of with a CDL is the same way. Must be a state by state thing.
