Or any time in Baltimore.

Sitting in Detroit till tomorrow.
Things getting much more comfortable. Now have to get more used to manuvering & backing at DC's. Some situations not bad, but some that are pretty normal seem right tight to me. Just when I think "no way", instructor directs me right in. Definately going to take practice to get used to. -
Start by always getting out and looking it over. Always choose a straight back over everything else. Start with lotsa room, and don't do what all of us do... don't over control!
You'll get it. Heck, I may even get it one of these days!FullMetalJacket Thanks this. -
Made Carlisle with crappy head cold last two days. Came on strong today. Sure made my 5hr stretch seem a lot longer, but...... gotta do what ya gotta do. Sleep will be welcome, but short here@3:30am. 1 1/2hrs till having to be ready for unload.
Git 'er done! -
Giant Eagle DC & trucks everywhere. 5:00am the CB calls out truck by truck to bays. Becomes a parade of a LOT of trucks, pause... one or two swing out then dock. Roll a bit more, repeat... until you find your bay, then do same. Reminded me of synchronized swimming, but with semi's. They all made it look so organized & easy.
Glad instructor handled, cause I sure wouldn't have liked to be the "Dennis the Menace" mucking up that beatifull sight.
Of course, with being cold, tired & sick..... maybe it was just a hallucination or dream? -
Ran from Carlisle PA to Winchester VA and dropped load. Mostly uneventfull day. Ended day early, and welcome shower, decent dinner & movie. Up early to pick up another load.

9+hr drive time today. SOB had me drive I-40 through WV & Maryland mountains. LOL!
Snow was coming down a bit hard for awhile. For at least half way, probably couldn't have pried my fingers loose with a crow bar if you tried. Sure I was whiter than the snow. Did a lot better by the end but MAN, what an experience. Working those grades was a lot harder & more harrowing than I imagined. 2hrs of stress out city for me.
Definately a valuable learning experience & well worth the stress. Shifting one hell of a lot better now after this. Bring on that regular grade driving now!jomar68 Thanks this. -
