Referring to an all black womens championship basketball team as a bunch of "nappy headed ho's" is a little bit more than merely expressing his feelings. The remarks were in bad taste, uncalled for, and if any resultant action takes him down and off the air, I won;t shed a tear. With the freedom of having access to a mocrophone comes the responsibility to be accountable for what you say.

Everyone is guilty of foot in mouth disease once in awhile, and of bad taste, he apparently appologized so why take it any further? NOBODY is perfect and I myself dont want to be held to that high order. We now live in a society that JUMPS on every mistake that anyone makes especially if it concerns a "race issue" and then you get the al sharptons of the world demanding a beheading take place. Whatever happened to Sorry my mistake being acceptable and letting the issue drop? I can bet ya if he had said something about a bunch of redheaded women players nobody would even care.

I dont care if he has a job or not, makes no dif in my corner of the world.

Were this the first time he had said something like this, I would be in full agreeance with you. But he has been on the air making statements like this for about 19 years now, so it's not like he made a minor slip of the tongue and didn't know what he was doing. Had I or you made that statementn in public we would be facing the consequences of our actions, so why should he be exempt from paying for his mistakes.

Must be that free speech everyone keeps talking about.

I am free to operate all the knobs on any of my electronic devices, and I do regularly.

I am not free to yell "fire" in a movie theater.

The guy is a jerk, has been one for a long time and insulting people is not the way to make friends and influence others for sure. I agree burkey you and I would have to face the outcome and we wouldnt have million dollar lawyers to protect us either....or a staff of public relations people, or friends in the broadcasting business to offer us their air time to explain ourselves or worse try to explain that what listners heard was not what was said.....

So Imus meet with AL Sharpton, (I know) however, Imus really had the nerve to say he was a good person. After hearing his comment, thats a stretch.

I guess Imus has been suspended for two weeks from MSNBC.

But I got to tell ya...I don't much care for the GUY...but what's the difference with how these RAP artists talk about people in their music?

I don't see any difference at all.

I think the nasty/dirty RAP music should be suspended forever!
