Don't know about may, but Werner was my trainer company and it's a long training session. When I went thru they had bumped it from 275 to 300 but I think they are back down to 275. The pay is about 285 a week after taxes. Hardest part of the training is dealing with your training manager, trainer and making it to the end.

May's training program is different from Werner's. First off, there is no team driving what so ever. All your driving will be done with the trainer in the passenger seat, on duty, watching you drive. When I had left, they were paying $60/day for $420/week. You will likely be out for 2-3 weeks, depending on how fast you catch on and when your trainer feels you have a grasp of what May wants you to be able to do. Once you solo, you can choose straight mileage pay at $.30/mile or the guaranteed pay of $90/day for your first 90 days. After 90 days, they will compare your miles ran at $.30/mile vs. what you were paid for. If you would've earned more in mileage pay, they will pay you the difference.

One thing I know Werner has over May, are the APU's. May does not have any. Also, if you want to do 48 state dry van, May only does 11 western states for dry vans.

i run for system transport right now and the flatbed side is 100% apu equipped and the twt reefer side is about 85% or so from what ive seen. it might be more but both sides run very nice equipment . the pay for truck washes every 14 days have not been to the phoenix yard yet but thinking of switching to the reefer side because i love their running area

I drove for Werner for 2 years. Left because at the end I was having a really hard time and getting paid. From my experience with Werner I would choose May instead. May has a higher pay, and might make you run more than Werner would. Also do more research, there are more options available
