I work for G&P. Our terminal is Greer SC, but headquarters is Columbia.
G&P is a good company. We are team drivers and we get 46 cents a mile.
We usually get pretty good miles on long runs to Laredo and El Paso.
Good benefits, last year I had a root canal for $1,200, and my G&P insurance paid $700 of it.
I just joined the 401K and am packing money into that, G&P will put $2,500 into that account this year. That is free money from my employer.
We got a brand new Freightliner last August, with condo cab.
Last year I made 61K.

Nice! I work for sefl and see g & p trucks coming in our terminal and switching out all the time. I think they are owned by the cassels too? How do they pay solo drivers?
-
Solo drivers start at 32 cents a mile.

I know at the garysburg NC terminal (right off 95 at roanoke rapids) they have the lowes (home improvement) warehouse and do drop and hooks at all the lowes around here. I see alot of them driving daycabs. Ive talked to a couple of them and they all seem happy but I havent asked about pay.

You stay out for 7 or 8 days, and are home for 2 days.
