Also and why:
Hammer: for so many things but especially for those stubborn tandem pins.
The head needs to be smaller than the pin hole else it won't push it past the rail.
Also serves as a 'protection unit'. (I used to be a framing carpenter so look out!)
Visegrips: again, for tandems release arms that won't stay pulled.
Pull the arm, then lock the visegrips as a 'stop arm'.
A second smaller pair is good for gladhands that won't stay put.
My extra 2 pair serve as a 'passenger seat stabilizer'. It was like that chair Jodi Foster
sat in in the movie contact.... rockin' like crazy and loud as heck!
Cardboard: folded right and inserted tight to stop those rattles and squeaks.
Ah the sound of silence now that those 10 have been silenced.
Droid X: (or other smart phone)
Makes Mr. Spock's tri-corder look like a slide rule!
Email, internet, Gps, maps, points of interest, camera, video camera, calculator,
office word and excell, picture viewer, mp3 player...... etc
The apex of human achievment! !inkeper, engine312, Hamshoe and 1 other person Thank this. -
- windshield washer/squeege
got an aluminum collapsable/telescoping one for $5 at Walmart.
And a painting roller tray for $2.50 (for water/rinsing)
Fits in my side compartment.
Now that spring/summer bug season is here, can pull over anywhere for a quick scrub.
Beats waiting in line at a Pilot for 15 min.
The other day in TX, ran through a swarm of... locust maybe?
In 20 min- could literally barely see - no truck stop for 60+ miles,
and a scale house just up the road. Got pulled in to weigh.... would have probably
been pulled into the house if not for the cleaning lol.
- post it notes
- hole punch -
I was told an ice scaper work wonders on bugs when you wet the windshield down first.
What do you use a hole punch for? -
-
Hole punch for putting BOL's etc in 3-ring binder.
June bugs (April bugs lol) - must be. Huge black splatters - ugh.
