I'm sensing someone just trying to stir up things and go against anything anyone says. It's his thread though so I better stop hijacking it. Although there has never been an rfx-75 that is hooked up and being talked on that didn't get hot. Without a fan that is. I talked you Sam Lewis. Who engineered the rfx and the s45hp and many other radios. He said they will all run hot on the cooling fins(of course that's their job) and installing a good fan is cheap insurance and will not affect his warranty.

Good thing is that computer fans are cheep and run on 12 volts too.....
Thinking of adding one to my overhead cubby just for extra cooling on my new radio. -
Bells has a set of two with metal guards for $15. That's a good idea to add one to your cubby. I gotta find a way to cool my Texas Star 400.

Seriously, my CB was custom made at customcbradios.com. I never asked the guy what he put in it. I just know I got a peak and tune, RFX-75 SETUP, and a receive upgrade, I never opened the CB to look inside. I guess fans come with the RFX-75 install. Thanks.

Thanks for your help everyone. I know how to set the radio up now. I'll probably put this one in my personal car. I'm not going to risk my job for a CB. You're right, those 8 gauge wires would fry that dashboard hookup.

You will love that 98 as long as you provide plenty of power and keep the swr's down. I totally loved mine and would never have sold it if I could run it in this company truck.
BossOutlaw88 Thanks this. -

That'll be nice.
