Life threw me a few curve balls towards the end of the year and I have made the decision to give TN a go, parents are in Gallatin, sister in Nashville. My current employer, who I’ve been with for 13 years can do their best to work me out of there, but I know it will be difficult, and the logistics of paperwork, maintenance, things of this nature are all pretty Florida based. I’ve been doing frameless end dump for years, I like the aggregate/agriculture market, after visiting this thanksgiving I’ve made the decision to want to be in the Gallatin area as opposed to Nashville, and with that said would like a job in the vicinity of Gallatin/Hendersonville, I can’t see commuting to Nashville with the amount of traffic that is there. Figured I’d see if anyone has any suggestions, I’d really like to be home daily, tank endorsement but nothing else, like I said long tenure with current employer, just think it’s more realistic to have something local to the area. Thanks.

Man....many of the local gigs are in Nashville. I think Coca-Cola is in Lavergne though. I'd try Venture Express as well.

You think Firstfleet would be a fit?
-
I’ve tried to contact first fleet numerous times and keep getting the run around, they have local work in Gallatin, and regional work in Portland that pays well. I’ll keep the others in mind but I can’t see commuting from Gallatin to Nashville, I brought a load up thanksgiving week to Ashland City, and it took me over an hour to get to my parking in Gallatin afterwards, about 30 miles away, I don’t have it in me to do that daily.

I'd try to keep trying First Fleet. They're a decent company. The downside to them is they are becoming more & more AI dominated with their trucks. If you are ok with some of that stuff, they are worth talking to. They have forward facing cameras but no driver facing cameras.... at least yet.

If you go here you will basically be a dock worker with a CDL. Drivers are required to work on the dock several hours everyday.lual Thanks this.
