Can some one give me a template for a gap letter? I have no idea how to write one or who needs to sign it. I need a letter signed by I'm not sure who explaining I was actively looking for a job during a specified time. Has anyone here made one before, can you tell me how you worded it?

If this is for a potential employer just write down what you were doing during any gaps in your employment date it and sign it.

You mean like this ?
Gap was not is school yesterday because he was helping his Grandmother clean out her basement .
Signed Gaps Mother .Mr Ed Thanks this. -
You are way overly worried about this. The Gap letter is to show the Office of Homeland Security where you were for the last 10 years. As a trucker you will be hauling stuff that could go boom and hurt people. Just put down where you were and have someone sign it that knows you.
Do it like this.
John Doe is a friend of mine. From Sep 2011 until Mar 2013, he was unemployed. During that time John came by my house each week and we hung out. John looked for work but due to the economic conditions was unable to fine employment. Feel free to call me for verification. Signed, (Friend)
Do not do it like this,
Allah is Great, there is no God by Allah,
To whom it may concern,
John Doe was attending a camp here in Pakistan. He became one of our best students. He is very good at sewing jackets with noise makers and ball bearings. His driving skills are not much but he can hit anything he is aiming at. Die Americans die. Sincerely,
Just relax. The companies are not looking to judge you. People become unemployed for many reasons. They just have to show that you are not a security risk. -
