I had the Rand 7 inch and sent it back. The voice was ridiculous and the routing was so bad it was unusable. I have been using the 760 for 2 month Reading some of the posts in this thread I think some are not updating the maps. You cannot use it until that is done. The routing has been very good. No GPS is perfect. I do have some issues: In Canada every curve gives you a sharp curve warning. It does not pick up very many construction zones. The truck speed limits are not always correct. Once you have a bunch of routes in the GPS you cannot delete individual routes. All or nothing. Often at some truck stop exits and some rest areas it tells you this road may not be suitable for trucks. These are all mapping errors that hopefully will be corrected. When the traffic signal is working it is amazing. I was in Quebec City and had an early morning delivery. I had my route entered the night before. OI got up @ 5 am and turned on the GPS. Told me the ramp was closed. I panicked but went and had my shower. When I returned it was 5:30 and the GPS beeped and it showed the ramp as OK. It was closed only at night. In New Jersey it took me from a TA to the Costco DC on a very difficult route. Never missed a beat! I like the warnings for scales and state borders for fuel logging. I always check the routes against a paper map and Google. I have Streets and Trips but Google is better. You not only get a route often you can get a street view of your delivery or PU. Nice to be able to see the dock layout. The Garmin routes have not taken me on any non truck streets. But sometimes I do not like part of the route. I just do not follow the route for that part and it quickly recalculates and 95 % of the time uses my route! I tried pairing one of my phones. It is the company phone and is not a smart phone. It paired but did not work properly. I haven't tried it with my HTC 4G. Searching for truck stops does not work properly. It might show you 20 truck stops and their addresses but 15 of them are either behind you or on some other highway. I find that using either the TA app or the Pilot app on my smartphone is much better. I also have a problem with all the POI icons: ATM's,gas stations and restaurants. We are in big trucks and 95% of those spots are not truck friendly. You cannot delete one group of POI,s. All or nothing. Overall I am pleased but hope that they correct some of the faults.
