Just want to get an opinion of which is better. I've read pros and cons of both but just want to get a outside opinion.

I prefer option "C".... CoPilot Truck on a tablet or large screen (5.5" or more) phone. You don't need the phone to be active (a phone with wifi and no longer associated with an account works very well for this). WiFi is only needed for the initial download and occasional app and free map updates.
hunts2much, cuzzin it and Budscreek Thank this. -

I have used the Garmin 770 and the Rand 740 extensively. I've also used the Magellan, Co-Pilot, Tom Tom, and some other one that was included on a PeopleNet unit. I've used the Rand that is in some DriverTech units.
For me, I prefer the Garmin 770 over the Rand 740 and the rest. I admit that part of the reason may be that I'm just very familiar with the Garmin and struggle a little with others because they all operate differently. I have used a variety of Garmin products for many years...car, motorcycles, RV, and truck. I really like the way the Garmin operates...for me, everything on it is intuitive. I've only had it try to run me into a low bridge once in hundreds of thousands of miles. Some of the POI's are bogus, some are missing...but that will be the case with any of them. I do think that the Rand calculates long trips faster. I also like that in some of the recent Rand's I see that they indicate that they can be updated via Wi-Fi, and I would like that. I don't carry a laptop anymore so it is a pain to haul the Rand in somewhere and update it, but at least that is only a once or twice a year thing. -
I always preferred Garmin but the rand tablet display is simple..which I like a lot.
I hate when they cram unwanted features all over the screen.
