I have the Garmin Dezl GPS and overall I am quite pleased. I am having a few problems and wonder if another trucker can help. The unit keeps announcing dangerous curves. Probably 90% of those curves are just normal highway curves that certainly do not require any warning. Last week I ran through northern Ontario and the warnings were constant. Is there a way of adjusting how severe a curve has to be to give a warning? Just seems ridiculous to just keep giving warnings for no reason! Is there a way of removing routes from your "recent" route list. I can get to a screen to kill them all but I only want to eliminate a few.
Thanks

No, for some reason it really concentrates on the Canadian side. So you either have to shut off the curve portion or mute the device.
-
So how do you shutoff the curve warnings? Not just the audio but the whole warning.
-
Well on mine you go into tools, and find the custom options. There you can set to avoid toll roads etc, just uncheck the curve warning.

I also wanted to get rid of the millions of ATM and food icons. But when I did that the audio for the scales and borders went away. I also do not get any construction warnings or reduced speeds for construction areas that are a year old.
