It seems they've responded in their latest map update to my pointing out their many incorrect restrictions that are posted every 50 feet in random places that are not and have never been restricted by adding even more restrictions in random places that are both stupid and annoying as hell. Good job guys.

Anyone using the dezl 720 yet? Comments?
-
Not using one. Just was looking at them at the loves. Man thats a big screen. -
With the 760 though, using the smartlink app, there is a weather subscription available and it's a decent first step and goes beyond at the moment what nearest compition is offering along those lines.

When I am returning to the interstate it will somtimes have me go past the interstate make a U turn and then come back and make a right onto the interstate. (granted I ignore this and just make the left when I get to it). But these erratic route changes need to be looked at.
i get this too sometimes, if we could have araw Option: that would be great so it would remember the rt. the next time.

Mine tries to route me to the toll plazas, but I have an EZPass, there ought to be a setting to choose to tell it you have the transponder.

I think some of the problems will come from putting in the wrong numbers in setting up the vehicle profile and map errors. Garmin will be doing quarterly map updates and software as needed ( several software updates are now in the pipeline according to customer service). I think a lot of the errors being talked about here may resolve themselves with a map update which is the case with competing devices. I was down in Baytown comming from Sea Brook and the device had me exit 146 to get on spur330 even the two routes are connected. This is a map issue and sometimes these can take a while to get into the base map datum. All map data the Garmin uses comes from Navitech- and it's them that is responsible for compileing the data. All devices rely on eithor Navitech or Teleatlas for the base maps.
I have had the 760LMT for a few weeks now. I like it. It's doing the job and offers features over and beyond it's nearest competitor- if one is okay with paying for subscription based services. I think that with what services and those features available with the sevices that I am ok with the subscription fees which are yearly. Better weather and traffic and, the ability to look up fuel prices. One service, weather, is far and away better than the nearest competitor. Features like animated radar, pop-up weather alerts on the map page, area specific forcasts and favorite city forcasts. Road condidtion maps and weather alert maps. Definantly in my opinion worth the price. If you have the 560LMT and like then I think you will really like the 760LMT.

I'd give the new ones a while to work the bugs out. It was the same way when the 465t first came out. Software and map updates smoothed it out after a while. Although it still has a lot of the same dumb errors on it 3 years after release. There are no less than 12 weigh stations inside the Great Mall of the Great Plains, for example, and they still haven't noticed them even though their headquarters is right up the street.
The only valid weight restriction is the one on the upper right (for 5 feet). The other two do not exist.
There are no restrictions at all on this road. In fact it is a major truck route. The last update added even more markers instead of taking them away. Of course they have to be set every 20 feet because us trucker are dum and have to have full screen alerts that cover that map and render the device useless every 2 seconds. It's also telling me to turn onto a narrow neighborhood street that is truck restricted to avoid the nonexistent restrictions.
And as for bridges, Phelps street has a ten foot railroad bridge across it. Good thing I googled it beforehand.Last edited: Jan 26, 2013

Was that the 560 or the older 465?

465t. Bought it right after it came out and it's still going.
