This might give you a laugh as the problem was with ME. Seems I was spelling the street name wrong. Its Munroe not Monroe..

hey Jon with garmin.perhaps you can send me a trucker unit for my personal evaluation, thereby bringing me into the 21st century AND allowing me to acclimate myself to all the newfangled technology.I have never owned a gps of any kind, not even on my cell phone, although i do have a smart phone that i need to put in service. I am assuming that it does have gps capabilty.you may contact me via the private message area of this very fine forum.
I will keep the forum apprised of my learning curve upon its arrival and my feedback/opinion will be honest and forthright.
Thank you in advance,
jpsSkydivedavec Thanks this. -
How about a 6 inche truckers Garmin along the same design as the nuvi 3579 make it a little more higher end look

I bought the 560 about a year ago w/ free map updates for life.
Now a couple of weeks ago it asked me to update my maps and I did and have now found its not showing all the scales, missing quite a few and its also showing scales that are no longer there. Before the update it was showing ALL the scales.
Anyone have problems with the unit freezing up?
Other than those 2 issue's I like it

Mine has frozen up but when it did it was in an area with a lot of "traffic data" going on. I think it tends to get a little flaky when it's memory begins to really get pushed to the max as happens in metro areas during peak traffic periods. Some data comes with the map update and some comes with the device update (software) not sure where the scales data comes. What are some of the scales in question?

I65 Indiana at mm241, heading so. It doesn't recognize the scale heading no. At same mm it alerts me of a scale that has been gone for ever, it doesn't recognize i70 w the Richmond In.area scale. That just a few examples.
These all were on my unit before the update. Maybe I'll try to update is again this weekend and see what happens

I run across NE all the time, a lot of deliveries as well. Had the same problem with I-80 in NE, After I did the last update, the problem went away. I am also using the 560.
Did you also do the firmware update that was available a few months ago? -
Not having a problem with it freezing.
The unit has a lot of scales missing, has for a long time.
Seems to be a mismatch between Garmins list and the Truck Down list too.
