Gas for $9.99 a gallon prompts Investigation

Makes supply and demand theology look bad
I say nail them

 

I can see some of there lame excuses now....

"OH, it shouldn't have been that high, I made a mistake".

"Oops! I hit the wrong key"

"It's just good business to raise the price"

"####, I didn't know I was charging that much"

"My Mother made me do it"

"NO, the devil made me do it"

 

Holy crap... $9.99/gallon! I would have had a HARD time not walking in and slapping someone for that! I would have to call the cops on myself man. That is ridiculous.

 

I still don't understand why these people continue to do this.... It happens every year... Some gas station always goes on a price gouging spree... You would think they would learn by now.. That leaves me to one conclusion... The penalty for doing it is not being enforced or is not enough to deter them...


Anyways we had a gas station here in Indiana do the $9.99 a gallon... Only thing is they was out of gas.. They changed the sign to $9.99 to keep people from stopping and getting rude with them because they had no gas...
