The amount you earn depends on what type of loads you do. 6 locals per day will pay great if you live in a place with plenty of lanes (no lines at the racks). $250 per day was a typical day in Phoenix 5 years ago, now $200 is a 12 hour shift and only if all lanes at all the racks are running.
Try to get out of town loads that will get you home for the night (less time in line waiting to load).

$1000 per week can be done but thats at least 60 hours in Phoenix. I dont know what the same job pays for you (dont know where you are) money is DEFINITELY NOT the reason to haul fuel. Hometime is the only advantage.

ty we are in va. prefer regional work but the pay has been so low. my husband was making .546 per mile 5 day/night work week + unloading power poles with a boom truck..the company has been sold and they are giving those miles to their drivers at .30 a mile.
