On another note got some very good news the other day sentinel/Phillips66 has bought out United Oil. This will add a crap load of stations and drivers to the fleet.

Are they a major with their own trucks? I can't remember seeing a Phillips 66 truck and if I did I don't remember looking at the door seeing if it was a company truck. It would be great if they were and are staying that way. If so I'd like to see their benefits and retirement plan. It's hard for people to believe me when I tell then I had three retirement plans working for me plus two of the plans the company added some money into your account.

Oh, I agree. I have it pretty easy with less than two dozen stations and only one outside customer that I visit every two weeks. Most of my drops for 87 are around 3000-5000gal. and diesel anywhere between 3000-8000, 8000 if its one of the truck stops. We never load the tanks all the way up. I frequently arive when the meter reads only 7-800gal. in the tank. I think the boss is into the JIT thing. I think the most I ever put in a tank was about 13000 of diesel in two runs back-to-back. I probably drop 24000gal. a day on average, sometimes more, sometimes less.

But for now, forget this. I'm going to the beach!

If the store runs out of fuel and it's the carrier's fault, that could cost the carrier business, which could mean less money for the driver, layoffs, or closing the yard.
