Well, he should look for a small metal plate on the trailer framerail, usually near the landing gear. It will have the capacity of each compartment, in gallons, stamped on it. You take note of the capacity of each compartment, and you put in an amount of gas equal to or less than that number for each compartment. That's all there is to it.

If your son is seriously asking this question, either his trainer is woefully incompetent, or your son should NOT be hauling gas.

Dont know, its all on each work order or it should be,
Not sure with gas, when I load multi compartment tanks I have pickup info on how my company wants it loaded, sounds like the kid needs a new trainer or needs to take better notes

First off, I don't know the answer. But I am pretty certain that if his trainer said that to him, then he needs to start paying attention to what his trainer is telling him.
Of course, I also have to wonder if you are our weekend troll that seems to be showing up every weekend, with a different user name...

    Can't really help this situation....

But I'll say keep gas and diesel separate ... and generally split the NL evenly if you know the station has 2 NL tanks the same size....

So if you needed 7,000 gals of NL you'd want it as close to 3500- 3500 in the compartments (if possible ). If they only have one NL tank it doesn't matter....

This is why you can't really give a strait answer to this.... you gotta know the station and think on your feet......

Loading and unloading is pretty straight forward! In a 5 section most likely 2 will be diesel and the other 3 will be regular, mid grade and super .
Loading up he will get a tally sheet. Let's say the sheet says 3000 gallon of super unleaded ! First he has to find out how much is left in the tank by looking at the computer or the guage on the tanker.
So the tanker says it has 2203.4 gallons ok this is where paying attention in math class is extremely important! 3000-2203.4= 796.6 is what he will need to put in!
