    I learned to drive in a 1956 Chevy 5 Ton straight truck with a 5 × 4 transmission, hauling hay... When I was 7.

Growing up out on land in the sticks vs the city is a way different experience. If you weren't driving tractors, quads, pickups etc by 10 there was something wrong lol.

That kid better PRAY that those bicyclists make a full recovery. Because if they die and he ends up going to either a juvenile detention facility or charged as an adult and ends up going to prison-when those inmates find out they have a “rich kid” in their midst-they’re gonna go crazy!
This is one of the reasons why some areas are passing ordinances regarding rolling coal-because of douchebaggery like this(New Jersey passed such an ordinance prohibiting it).

People need to stop buying their kids 10klb race cars a tuned 6.4/6.7 will put a hurting on a r/t hemi or any comparable sport car.

600hp and 800-1000ftlbs for a first vehicle is idiotic. It leads to stuff like this in the story.

Sort of but no. Some retard doing 70 in a 30 zone in a Honda CRV would be just as bad hitting someone. It’s like banning a certain gun because someone went nuts and used that model in an incident when In reality it wasn’t the gun, it was the person. If that kid decided to show his level of carelessness for other people & life in his 180 HP PT Cruiser I think it would have been the same outcome.

I don't want anything banned I love the big smokey diesel pickups but in no reality would I buy a 16 y/o a high horse power lifted vehicle

You can't honestly tell me a 180hp car has the same risk factor as a 600hp wannabe monster truck.
Is like a welded diff for a daily. Can some people manage it? Yes. Can most? No

It's like the kids getting the hellcats and people surprised they end up as pavement icing. Or the dude who buys the 1000cc crotch rocket to learn on.

If you don't have the experience or respect for a performance vehicle it is much more dangerous then a family sedan

I don't buy that one bit. A friend back in highschool put a stock Cavalier on its lid at a buck forty. Lost it on a corner and rolled it UP a bank he smoked it so hard.

If there is no bike lane then bikes are allowed to use a regular lane, so they had the right of way.

Texas bicycles are vehicles according to the statute that defines vehicles and a person riding a bicycle has all of the rights and duties of a driver of a vehicle under the Texas Rules of the Road, except for special regulations specific to bicycles and those provisions that by their nature can have no application.
