Gen 1, Auto-Shift, replaced X-Y shifter, now won't shift out of 3rd gear

    Howdy Lester,

    Thank you so much for the information and folks to contact. I am 76 years young so the days of crawling around under trucks removing/replacing transmissions are long gone, having to depend on others to do this sort of thing gets expensive FAST. I am into this 3,300 dollars at this point parts and labor so going full manual and not having anyone local who can do the work kinda puts that option off the table.

    Could someone with a mag drill create the required hole? Its been a few years since I've had an Eaton opened up on the floor but I do recall the hole you're talking about.

    yeah that was discussed back when I did the swap. neither me nor the gear man were 100% comfortable with trying and the case wasn't terrible to buy.
