    Hey All,

Are there any OTR trucking companies that do not do the lifting test?:biggrin_25513: Some use a 90 lb weight you have to lift and put on a shelf, right? Which companies don't do that?

    Thanks for the input!

    Be safe!

well lets see...when I was with Celadon they didn't do that....ah the smaller outfit I was driving for last didnt do one......most of the smaller companies...IE 20 trucks won't do one...but yeah I'm sure alot of the bigger boys do it.

My next thought after I had posted was doing a food run......you said the ramps so I thought of the moving van first....but yeah I can see where doing the food service stuff would tear you up pretty badly.

    It's not 90 pounds either
It's more like 20-30 ... It's nothing like the test you took for the foodservice industry not even close ... I did that test at US Foods and the OTR work test is a piece of cake and my knees are shot from that 2 wheeler and ramp

    You have no worries

Thanks Kentucky!! That's encouraging, for sure.

Nik - moving van = bed bugger; cool, thanks for the lesson in terminology!
