Absorption with self is just human nature. That's one thing that makes "driving" difficult; avoiding always putting what seems to be your own best self-interest first and operating cooperatively instead of competitively. That's hard if not impossible for the typical motorist, because emotionally they remain 3-5 years old, and they're afraid people will think of them as weak, because that's how they see motoring with caution. "First one to the next stop light wins, everyone else is a loser. (No, I don't count replacing wasted fuel and brakes in my calculations of the time I imagine I saved)!"
My pleasure, entirely. Few things make me happier than not reading "But everyone will run over me!" or "No one would get anywhere if everyone drove like that!".
