One of my friends captured this at the truck stop.

No reason for hitting someone's truck. Just get out and look. Makes you look worst probably when you hit somebody elses rig!

Scenarios like this make me nervous. I am going to school next month to get my cdl, I am already thinking how the heck I am going to maneuver something so large. I definitely do not want to find myself in a situation such as this.

That actually looks like a collision from pulling out of the space rather than backing in. Simply from turning too tight before clearing. I've seen that several times lately where trucks actually LEAVING docks or truck stop spaces turn too tightly and either clip on the sight side or the trailer swing hits the next truck on the blind side.

ouch. even worse from the sight side.....

i'd rather sit and wait for someone to get out and look 10 times if they have to rather than see something like this. i'll get out and do it if i have to, and especially late in the day when i'm tired and not care what anyone thinks about it.....even more so now that my company gave me a #### auto that just doesn't move slowly or in small increments....

this is why i never really relax or go to sleep until i've got trucks parked on both sides of me or why i do my best to work things out to park at a shipper or receiver.

It's actually not as hard as it looks. The key is to take your time. When you do things in a hurry, this is usually the end result.

This is what I thought as well. Pulling out of a spot too fast and not even bothering to look at the mirror.

If you have enough room (in front and in back) it's not a big deal. Just take it slow and if you have any doubt, GOAL :)
