A lot of accidents happen at the truck stop. This is one of my biggest fears and why if I'm unsure I pull the breaks and G.O.A.L. before anything happens. I know my trainer was backed into three times at a truck stop. He finally put a dash cam in his truck, one night he even moved the truck on me for a better spot that he was less likely to be hit at.

Two days ago I was up in Green Bay, WI at the Georgia Pacific and a DART driver had his fifth wheel into the back of his trailer and the fifth wheel was tilted completely up in the air on the back end. He was also unable to get his tractor to pull forward after that little maneuver. Moral to the story is he should of G.O.A.L. and he probably should of dropped his air bags first.

15 yrs I've been doing this, I still get out and look if I'm in doubt, there's no shame in it, there's no shame in asking for a spotter, and there's no shame in saying "hey, that spot is too tight, maybe I need to find a different one". I've listened to these billy bigriggers on the CB laughing becuase someone took 5 or 10 pullups to get into a spot, get a clue. I'd rather take 10 pullups than take off a mirror, fender or front end.

not giving him an excuses for this at all but ive noticed in my brief existance that some of these rest areas and truck stops have some very tricky spots to pull out of when its time to go. sometimes the getting out part is harder than getting in

"Pride through Performance" is the company slogan on the side of the wagon.

Not much pride, surely not performing either.
