Getting A 2022 VNL 760 - What Am I In For?

I liked the one I drove a few years ago. 12 speed auto was nice.

 

I’m a bit jealous.
I miss my Volvo.

20 years ago your truck made a much bigger difference
Today not so much with the exception of the few hoods that are still being made

They all look the same
They all break down about the same
Only thing I can really see as a factor when buying one would be

Fit and finish but I assume my Pete rattles the same as all the rest

But I also think the above are a lot closer than was the case years ago

You will like the extra torque they upgraded to last 4 years also if it does come with premium shifter you have to down shift on hills manually being that the auto will kill the truck and make it extremely lazy on hills besides that not as complicated as the other trucks out there for a change.

 

Volvo/Mack is the best engine-trans on the market right now, especially with the 13 or 14 speed crawler gears for heavy loads, gives a deeper reduction than anything else.

Good control layout and steering wheel controls. Good dash.

Volvo needs to improve their sleeper interiors, they are not even close to as nice as the premium Paccar sleepers or even as nice as the Mack sleeper.

Also not as much cab insulation as the Arctic packaged Paccars.
