You might say you're starting off on a rocky road.

Ever try PTI from Murray Kentucky? They seem to be a second chance company. I had 2 accidents in my first year but they were not dot reportable. I hit myself both times. Lol.
Keep your head up..zaroba Thanks this. -
My advice is to try a small(er) company.
Put together an abstract, criminal record check, photocopy the front and back of your CDL, medical card, bring a resume with references (the more, the better), get a fresh haircut, wear a clean shirt with buttons and hit the pavement the old fashioned way.
Forget call centre recruiters, forget online applications. You're 1 of a thousand "prospects" to those people.
Give yourself a chance to make a favourable impression, a firm handshake and bring everything you need to start work that day.
You seem humble and sensible and it's been mentioned before that many drivers have done far worse and continue to drive.
Taking a break might destroy your chances althougher, as many companies want recent experience and no major gaps.
Worst case scenario, your picture and resume are sitting in a drawer somewhere for a few months before a driver quits, gets fired, a new contract for freight is signed and your application looks better and better.zaroba Thanks this. -
I get fired all the time. Sometimes I agree with them and sometimes I don't. I have hit most every type of sign out there, run over trees, totaled two trucks. Been hit at least five times. Now I am buying my first truck.
If you give up and go back off the road you are not cut out to be a professional driver. If you keep applying and learn from your mistakes you will find you are a much better driver after your screw ups then you were before.
I am not a natural trucker. I was born with the silver spoon and liked it that way. Trucking is the first thing I have ever done that I sucked at. When I would pull into a dock I would ask them to give me a choice of 12 or 14 if they had given me dock 13 just in case the trailer liked those better. I remember pulling into a lot and a light pole came crashing down next to the truck. I have no idea why it happened. I couldn't have hit it as I didn't even see it.
If you want to be a trucker, learn from your mistakes and don't let anyone stop you. If trucking is your dream go for it.
My dream has to do with a couple of women and some honey. But I am diabetic so it will never happen.zaroba Thanks this. -

Yeah, Paschell. There's also that company called Carolina Cargo. Let's see if @Chinatown has any suggestions. He's really good at helping out!
Chinatown Thanks this. -

Have you found a new job yet?

nope, still looking.
Pascell turned me down
Was chatting with a Transport America recruiter earlier today and things seemed positive, so will see tomorrow when they call back. Side note, that Nov accident also isn't on my MVR.
