I'm not going to lie.. if all those turned you down.. I really can't foresee you getting on at a reputable company. If you just HAVE to drive a truck.. maybe look over Chicago's Craigslist and see if a white Volvo company will hire you? That's the only thing I can think of, honestly. I really hope you prove me wrong and get on somewhere good. You have a good personality and take responsibility for your actions. That's a very desirable trait. Keep your chin up.

Oh.. try CTI out of Springfield mo. They run out east.
Also, try usxl from St Louis mo and Hogan transport from St Louis.

Got a call from Carolina Cargo and talk to one of the recruiters yesterday, couldn't make out half of what the guy was saying, the phone was staticy and he seemed to mumble quite a bit. First he went on and on about their 'great pay' of $0.12 per person and how it was 'unique' that the pay was for all miles on the truck for team driving. Then I was asking him about orientation, but that's where it seemed to fall apart. Basically said that orientation was in Charlotte NC and asked how I would get there. Told him I would take a bus, he said if I come by bus then to be at the Greyhound Terminal Monday morning in Charlotte NC and I would get picked up. No other details at all, like time or who was picking me up or what to look for, not even if the company would reimburse the $155 ticket. After orientation, the company would give me a ride to CA to get a truck with a team member. Said he would still have to look up my records and would give me a call back.

Sent in an application to Covenant Transport yesterday, gave them a call a few hours ago and talked to a recruiter. Much nicer person to talk to, spoke clearly and directly to the point. Teams as well, but pays $0.50+ per mile. Recruiter said she had to look up my records still and would call back. She called back and I just got off the phone with her, orientation will be starting June 1st. (was going to do this Monday, but I have a cold and don't want to go while sick). She will be calling me next week to discuss the details.

Well, Covenant Hasn't yet gotten back with me with info about going to orientation, but luckily I hadn't put all my hope in them and continued applying.

TransAm did get back with me and did set up everything for orientation.
Tomorrow I am flying to Kansas City to start orientation on the 1st :)

Yes, I know I could just call Covenant myself, but given the options, I will take the solo over team any day.

If you have any recordable accident less than two year old on your MVR/DAT/PSP; regardless of reason or circumstance; you will be denied a position with Covanent (recruiting office) - ask that any driver applying for a position should be upfront about all accidents recordable or not.

You might want to take a class in drivers ed. It helps taking points off your license. Not sure if it does on a CDL
