I have not even sign up for any school yet, But if and when I finally do I'm looking at $4000 to $6000 for schooling. After all your schooling how hard is it to find a driving job. I know I will have to go over the road for experience. But will I even get a driving job. Driving record is good no DUI's or anything of that nature.

Lone wolf, I'm right there with ya buddy. It seems that there are companies that will take a new grad, some are not the best to work for, most if not all will require you to ride along with a seasoned driver for anywhere from 1 to 6 months. I even found one that requires a full year of team driving before they cut you loose on your own. Given the significant investment companies make in equipment and insurance I can understand why.

A lot of companies will reimburse you for the cost of the school. Just save your receipts. If you have a clean criminal history and driving record you can go to any company that hires students right out of school. I have about 5 or 6 companies I am looking at right now. So your choices are there, you just have to make the one that is right for you.

    Exactly.

Thems are words you can slap your Mamma with. Ask around but ultimately you gotta find the place that makes you happy.

I went from school to a sweetheart job pulling for a major retailer. Home every week, never that far away and I got a pretty cushy condo.

I think they issued me the wrong truck, but I'll never inquire about it.
