    There are homeless people being hired by the mega carriers every day, the OP here is in better shape than they are. Just provide business references for people you have done work for and that will be sufficient for most companies. You may have a few more hoops to jump through, but believe me, there is a job waiting for you.

    I have wondered about this.

    Wow! Really?

    In my opinion, if they even check a reference, they will not look too hard. Make a list of everyone you have done any side jobs for, uncles that have farms, guys you know with business like construction, and etc. Talk to them and tell them what you are doing. I would bet the farm that someone will help you out with a solid reference. It happens every day.

    3 years with bottom feeders is ridiculous. A year is all you need and sometimes not even that.
