Gee, I guess they don't want your hard earned tax money very much, if they make it impossible for you to actually WORK!!:smt075

Well, I talked to my recruiter today and explained everything. He said that it doesn't sound like my no insurance ticket will be a problem because it isn't a moving violation and I was up-front about it. He said that it will have to go to the safety department for review, so hopefully all goes well there. He's going to call me Monday to give me all of the next step information.

I had 3 no proof of insurance tickets in AZ, 2 of them resulted in a license suspension due to non payment of fine. $1100 for each fine, STILL cheaper than liability insurance was for me. :biggrin_2554:

I haven't had a problem getting hired. I also have a misdemeanor for 86 in a 65 zone. No one seemed to care much about that.

That makes me feel better about my situation. Did you get hired by Prime?

No, I started with SWIFT and I am currently with Melton.

my last suspension was less than a year before I got my CDL and started OTR. However, I had to "move" to California to get my CDL as Arizona will (would) not give you a CDL with a suspension less than one year old.

SWIFT was more worried about my lack of work history than anything else. Melton asked about the suspensions, and I assured them that it wouldn't happen again. That was that. No one said anything about my criminal speeding conviction.

Good deal! I'm excited to get on the road....it's something I've always wanted to do, but "life" has always gotten in the way.

Don't forget, "life" happens out on the road as well... You're just 1000 miles away when it happens.
