Just wondering if you can be approved to lease on with a company without a truck, and then go and buy your truck? Trying to do that before I make the financial decision of buying a truck. I would hate to buy a truck and then cant get any work. Thanks for any help.

let the company know you're buying the truck. they'll give you a "job letter" for you to bring to the dealer where you are buying the truck, it helps with financing. you can't sign a lease until there's paperwork on a truck on your name and a vin number attached to all that.

    This....
Tri-State expediting told my wife & I that they would give us a letter of intent (their intent to sign us on) to take to our bank/dealer to buy the truck.

Yes, but be careful of the company. Most will need to rerun MVR if it is more than a couple weeks but some dump you back in the pool. I have taken calls from many drivers that were approved, nothing added to MVR and 4 weeks later no job.

If they don't take you, Bruce Oakley will.
