So he doesn't have his own authority? Just leased to a carrier?

Why not just have your friend use your address in nevada as his business adress then register his business in nevada.. Charge him a small fee from his overall bussiness value for doing this its an extra tax write off for him and ez money for you... Rather than making things overly complicated and starting seperate businesses and going into business together....with the amount of ####### brokers some of us deal with everyday it cant be that difficult to get ur foot in the door.... But we need less of that in this industry not more of it.

Ya coming to Nevada isn’t going to be easy.

this state actually does a very thorough first year audit.

Registering trucks require a Nevada DL and a valid address.

Easy if you live here. I suggest you start calling them up, and see the requirements needed. It’s been a while since I did it. So I’m not sure how it is now.

You're sidestepping if he has his own authority or leased to a carrier.

I’m not asking him to drop everything and rely on me. I’m asking to take his business and grow it. He has the trucks he has business and a good name to his business. I work on my broker background and we combine his trucks and a broker that makes a balanced business.

Everything looks easy on paper, the issue is when you jump in head first not knowing what’s going to come up is when things start getting interesting.

The fact that you hadn’t even made an inquiries on Nevadas requirements says a lot. Not trying to disparage you, im just saying you have not fully grasped the idea of what it’s going to take.
